The procurement team required a cloud-based tool that empowers employees to make informed decisions about hiring suppliers and allows internal teams to seamlessly grade vendors’ products and services for future considerations.
Solution
Bayen Group developed a centralized search-based platform for Northrop Grumman to effectively audit suppliers and identify risks. The platform includes several key features. It provides contact information for the quality engineer assigned to work with the vendor account and displays the required certifications to conduct the work. It pulls an Excel from APSL for approved special processes and provides information on parts that have been tested and approved.
The platform includes a SharePoint document library that allows access to every file in the system attributed to the supplier. A scorecard feature provides ratings from both shop floor and procurement teams, offering data-backed insights to determine if a supplier should be engaged. Quality notifications provide information on the quality of work and flag mistakes made by suppliers, helping to determine supplier reliability. Finally, the platform offers a search function that allows users to search by name, supplier number, or keyword.
